Katie’s latest book is one she’s dreamed of doing for years. She is illustrating Who Built The Moon by Shinyribs. Shinyribs is an Austin-based band, featuring Kevin Russell (lead singer). His wacky and infectious energy has always inspired Katie and now they’ve come together to make the colorful world inside his song, “Who Built The Moon”. With over 7 million listens on Spotify, it’s definitely a favorite in the Shinyribs community and soon to be your kiddos favorite, too!

Block printing and botanical ink making

Children’s book author and illustrator Katie Terrell Ramos guides you through making your own hand-carved blockprint, inspired by the lavender field and flower-garden plants. You’ll use printing ink made from flower pigment by botanical dye expert, Laurie Hall, and end up with a set of mixed cards to take home – one from each participant’s block illustration! Within a week after purchasing your spot in the workshop you'll receive an email from Katie with the address and directions to the workshop location, and any other info you might need.
